We regularly organise educational events for our members, representatives of public institutions and private companies as well. Our goal is to enhance their knowledge and broaden their understanding of how transport telematics products and services can be applied, along with the benefits they bring to various target groups and sectors of the economy.
We provide an information service on developments in the field of transport telematics and ensuring effective information exchange between technology companies, public authorities, system integrators, transport operators, construction firms, and universities. We believe that sharing knowledge enables effective progress.
We educate professionals and our members about national and international standards and ensure their proper adherence. We collaborate with telematics sector coordinators in technical committees CEN 278, ISO 204, and TNK 136, and we provide feedback on draft standards.
We are a trusted advisor to both public authorities and commercial companies. We assist in developing telematics strategies and visions, coordinate their implementation, and bring them into practice. We evaluate telematics solutions and provide independent technical oversight and expert assessments.
We collaborate with business associations and interest groups which all promote Czech products, services and which defend the interests of Czech companies. Together, we strive to improve the business environment, and to ensure a high-quality rule of law with an emphasis on professionalism and quality.
At the bilateral level, we establish international partnerships, showcase successful Czech telematics projects, and connect our members with potential clients and collaborators. We represent ITS&S within the international telematics network, called the Network of ITS Nationals Associations (known as ITS Nationals).
The Presidium of ITS&S consists of 5 elected members, chosen by the Assembly of Delegates and representatives of VIP members, one representative per VIP member. To maintain balance between elected and VIP members, if the number of VIP members exceeds the number of elected members, additional members are co-opted into the Presidium. The term of office for Presidium members is 3 years.
The Presidium elects a President from among its members, who formally manages the activities of the ITS&S Presidium and oversees the operation of the association. The President appoints a Vice-President to represent them in their absence.
In accordance with the statutes and resolutions of the General Assembly, the SDT Presidium is responsible for the following key activities:
The Audit Committee monitors and reviews the financial management and accounting practices of the association in accordance with applicable laws, the statutes, and Assembly resolutions. It reports its findings to the Presidium and the General Assembly.
